Hi, I'm Stephanie Kappel!

Before starting Happy Hippo Studio, I spent years creating edible masterpieces at The Hungry Hippopotamus, where I was known for turning cookies into tiny works of delicious art. You can see me show off my cookie skills in episodes 3 and 4 of Holiday Gingerbread Showdown on Food Network and in publications like Southern Living and American Cake Decorating magazines. My clients include Disney, DC Comics, NBC Universal, William Sonoma and so many more. I’ve taught thousands of students world wide creating 400+ commissioned works and well over 10,000 cookies.

Now, I’m excited to take my artistic journey in a new direction—offering a wide range of modern, clean, and graphic art across many different mediums. Whether it's abstract paintings created using my piping skills or intricate pen and ink drawings, my goal is to bring fun, vibrant art to your world!
